ARRIVAL LETTER
Each character will awaken in their own bedroom in their assigned flat, with a journal on the nightstand and a letter waiting on top of it. The letter contains the following:
Dear [Character Name]:
It pleases me to welcome you to the Tower! I understand that you must be confused, but I assure you that you are perfectly safe here. Unfortunately, as you will no doubt realise, your magic was unable to make the dimensional transfer with you; however, I believe you will discover you are not as powerless as you think you are.
I have brought you here for a purpose, which will be revealed to you in time. While you wait, please make yourself as comfortable as possible. You will find a map of the Tower in your flat; everything you need will be provided. In order to keep things running smoothly, I must ask you to choose a job from the list below. You have twenty-four hours to write me back with your decision; if you do not make one, it will be made for you. Refusing to work will lead to incarceration. You may also assume that typical laws are in place related to not harming others, et cetera, et cetera, and that breaking these laws will likewise be met with punishment.
If you feel the need to contact me for whatever reason, simply leave a note in your journal. For your own safety, I would suggest not leaving the Tower until further notice.
